NELI-ORB PART I
This course is intended for engine officers as well as ship masters. The course mainly deals with the entries be made in the Oil Record Book Part I, in accordance with the requirements as prescribed in MARPOL Annex I, for recording relevant machinery operations for oil tankers of 150 gross tonnage & above and for every ship of 400 gross tonnage & above. It focuses on correct recording of operations in the Oil Record Book.
COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
After successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the regulatory requirements pertaining to making entries in Oil Record Book (ORB) Part I
- Familiarize with the way of recording entries in the ORB
- Recognize common errors to avoid mistakes in making entry in the ORB
