personnel involved in maritime operations onboard or ashore. The course deals
with understanding the nature and effects of harassment & bullying in the
workplace; situational awareness in recognizing and preventing harassment &
bullying; and the constructive way of dealing with harassment & bullying cases.
The courseware includes scenarios relevant to shipboard settings.
COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
After successful
completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define the nature of and give examples of harassment and bullying
- Identify the various detrimental effects of
harassment and bullying
- Recognize the different ways to prevent and deter cases of harassment and bullying and them adapt them into practice
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of
harassment and bullying through a short summative assessment that involves
high-level judgement and situational awareness
