FRAMO Maintenance and Important Rules for Operation


This course is essentially a practical one and is primarily intended for ship’s Ratings/Crew directly tasked to operate and perform planned maintenance on FRAMO Cargo Pumping System. The course covers technical instructions and hands-on activities governing the design & working principles, correct operations, and proper servicing of FRAMO Cargo Pumps to ensure safe and efficient functioning of the system.

COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
This training course aims to provide applied knowledge and skills to operate, maintain and troubleshoot FRAMO Cargo Pumping system including its ancillaries.

In particular, those who shall successfully fulfill the course should be able to:

  • explain the fundamental concepts of hydraulics and the working principles of FRAMO hydraulic circuit and the components therein;
  • familiarize with the structures, components, and features of various FRAMO Cargo Pumps
  • describe the requirements for, and consequently carry out, correct operation during discharging, stripping, tank washing and cargo heating; and
  • perform normal inspection, overhaul, and maintenance on FRAMO Cargo Pumps.

Entry Requirement / Target Group:

ENTRY REQUIREMENT:
Entry to this course is open for ship’s Ratings/Crew duly endorsed for FRAMO training, preferably going onboard vessel equipped with FRAMO Cargo Pumping System.
