This course is intended for deck ratings involved in crane operations. It mainly deals with the regulatory requirements, design & construction of offshore cranes, crane control functions & mode of operation, lifting operations with emphasis on requirements for personnel transfer, and safe working procedures. 

The course takes into account the industry guidelines for transferring personnel using a crane issued by Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF)

The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the operational requirements and safety guidelines on crane operations for safe lifting and transfer of personnel by crane in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the OCIMF.
