Assessment Program Career Assessment Program For Electrical Officers


This Career Assessment Program (CAP) is a pre-employment or pre-promotion assessment program primarily intended for Ships Electrical Officer and Electrical Officer Candidate. It is designed to measure and evaluate candidate’s technical know-how and proficiency governing various aspects of electrical safety, maintenance procedure and troubleshooting as generally applied onboard ships in accordance with the associated competency requirements of the STCW Code.

ASSESSMENT COVERAGE:
This assessment program consists of the following modules:

A. ABILITY PROFILING PROGRAM (APRO) TEST 
The APRO is a computer-based psychometric assessment program developed to be used as a support tool during recruitment of seafarers and the screening of candidates for maritime studies. The test is an aid to identify the risk behavior of a candidate and to verify his/her development potential.

B. NTC Evaluation System for Seafarer (NTC-ESS)
The NTC-ESS is an online assessment tool used to evaluate the knowledge of seafarers as part of recruitment and promotion process, and to identify needs for future training.

The purpose of this test is to assess the basic knowledge of seafarers and see their suitability for a particular job or position.

C. THEORETICAL ASSESSMENT
The theoretical assessment is administered thru online platform. The answers are being substantiated and verified during the oral-practical assessment.

D. INTERVIEW ASSESSMENT

TARGET CLIENTS:
This assessment module is open to Ship’s Electrical Officers intending to be evaluated in the corresponding capacity/position – based on competency level.
