Career Assessment Program (CAP) is a pre-employment or pre-promotion assessment program intended for all Deck Officers in the operational level positions. Assessment tasks and scenarios are well-designed & structured to evaluate candidate’s technical know-how and aptitude in the various areas of being a deck officer on board in accordance with the associated KUP of the STCW Code:
- Deck Officer – Operational Level (STCW Code, Table A-II/I)
Assessment

Further,
the program may also be used to measure the competence of existing personnel
from the Deck Department to determine training needs, as well as for company’s
crew profiling.

This assessment program (CAP 2) consists of the following modules:

SIMULATOR-BASED ASSESSMENT
Conducted using Full-Mission Bridge Simulator
B.
INTERVIEW ASSESSMENT
Interview / oral test to assess the candidate’s capacity relevant to
specific rank/position

This assessment module is open to all Deck Officers intending to be evaluated
in the corresponding capacity/position
