Course Aims & Objectives:

This course is intended for operational level engine officers. The training is essentially a practical course and consists of a series of exercises structured around the operation of the machinery of a modern merchant ship suitable for operational level functions, using an approved simulator.

The course is based on IMO Model Course 2.07 and covers training using an engine-room simulator specified as one method of demonstrating competence in Column 3 of Tables A-III/1 of the STCW Code.

Entry Requirement / Target Group:

ENTRY REQUIREMENT / TARGET GROUP: Entry to the course is open to engine officers who intend to improve their knowledge and understanding of the operation of the machinery of a modern merchant ship suitable for operational level functions
