The course is intended for Deck Officers and Personnel engaged in offshore supply vessels performing anchor-handling operations. The course provides applied knowledge and practical understanding for performing anchor-handling winch operations. The focus of lessons & instructions covers the different instruments and systems fitted in anchor handling vessels, and the safety factors and procedures involved in anchor-handling winch operations. The practical training consists of simulation exercises using full mission offshore vessel simulator.
The course highly contributes in meeting the recommended training relevant to offshore supply vessels performing anchor-handling operations specified in Section 8-V/e of the STCW Code, as amended.

The course aims to provide applied knowledge and practical understanding of the different instruments and systems fitted in anchor handling vessels, and the safety factors and operational procedures to safely & efficiently carry out anchor handling winch operations.
