The Norwegian Training Center (NTC) in Manila has achieved a significant milestone by securing a 10-year accreditation from the Maritime Industry Authority of the Philippines (MARINA). This recognition marks a decade of commitment to providing top-tier maritime education and training, adhering to the strictest industry standards.

Captain Nebuchadnezzar Rabaya, MBA, Training Manager at NTC, expressed his pride in the achievement: “Over the years, the foundation has stood as a beacon of quality education and unquestionable training, dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the maritime industry. This accreditation is not just a mark of approval, but a symbol of trust and excellence that reflects our collective effort and hard work.”

The accreditation follows a rigorous audit by MARINA, which underscored NTC’s dedication to excellence in its training operations. Ms. Ana Vasquez, Quality Assurance Manager and Data Privacy Officer (DPO) highlighted the significance of this audit: “Our recent audit with MARINA is a reflection of our team’s hard work and dedication. Achieving our 10-Year MARINA Accreditation is a big win for us at NTC, validating the quality of our training operations.”

The recognition by MARINA serves not only as a testament to NTC’s commitment to quality but also as a challenge for the future. “The journey ahead will demand even greater dedication and innovation, and I am confident that we will continue to exceed expectations and remain at the forefront of maritime training,” added Capt. Rabaya.

The Norwegian Training Center remains dedicated to its mission of training seafarers who are not only proficient but also highly competitive on a global scale. As NTC celebrates this achievement, it also sets the stage for the next decade of leading the way in maritime education and training.
