Project Goals:
• To enhance the Quality of Maritme Education in Vietnam by transferring up to date Norwegain Maritime "know how".
• To create a pool of future seafarers for the Norwegian controlled fleet education under the NSA training program.
Main Objectives:
• To conduct testing, -screening, -interview and selection of cadets, and to ensure a high standard and attitude of cadets
• Facilitate structured shipboard training on board international vessels
• To provide courses, training and practical exercises for cadets
• To provide training in full compliance with IMO STCW convention
• Evaluating the Faculty & Cadets during the period.
• Identifying relevant subjects to be undertaken, in addition to national approved curricula, with reference to IMO, NMD and Company Specific requirements.
•Introduce effective training methods.
• Purchase and donate relevant teaching aids.
• Upgrading of faculty where needed.

• 1st Batch cadets 39(VIMARU); 19 Deck & 20 Engine; (4th year student)
• 1st Batch cadets 35(UT-STC); 13 Deck & 13 Engine(5th year); 7 Deck & 2 Engine (graduates)
• 2nd Batch cadets 49(VIMARU); 24 Deck & 25 Engine; (4th year student)
• Designation to shipping companies are done by NTC-M Project Department

Maritime Training Center
With the functions of training, upgrading and refreshing maritime profession according to STCW78/95, in the last 3 years, the Maritime Training Center has trained:
1 167 Captains and Management-level Deck Officers;
1 056 Chief Engineers and Management-level Engineers.
